Best places to take a dive in London

Best places to take a dive in London

Summer is finally here! With temperatures hitting more than 28°C this week, it’s time to put on the swimsuit that you forgot in your closet. London overflows with swimming pools. So here is a list of the best places to take a dive in London!

1 – London Field Lido

After three months of closure due to renovation work, London Field Lido is re-opening its doors for you to take a dive in this legendary swimming pool! Located next to Victoria Park, this Lido is the perfect place to cool down and relax. The Olympic size swimming pool (50m) has swimming lanes available, but also a free swim area. Make sure you check the schedules before going as there are “private” sessions, such as a Women’s Only session.

2 – Aquatic Center

Located in the famous Olympic Village, London Aquatic Center is now opened to everybody. You can bring your whole family along to one of the pool “Swim for Family sessions”, ideal for splashing around and having some fun with a wide range of floats and equipment available. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and children aged under three can swim for free.

3 – Parliament Hill Lido

The parliament Hill Lido is certainly one of the prettiest pools in London. Built in 1938, this  outdoor pool is well maintained. The old school buildings make it authentic and lovely. It is a real hidden gem in the heart of London. A fantastic place to spend a sunny afternoon with or without kids-. You can even  go in the morning before 11am  to have access to the sauna. The perfect location for a lovely day!

4 – Brockwell Lido

Brockwell Lido has one of the biggest pools in London. Plenty of freedom allowed with ballgames played, inflatable toys floating about , water guns. Children can even be initiated to diving. Indoors you will be able to eat amazing food at a delicious cafe. Don’t forget to take your ice cream as a dessert! The best place to have fun with the family!

5 – Serpentine Lido

Located in Hyde Park, next to some of our properties, the Serpentine Lido has been a Londoner’s escape for over 100 years. Come and experience the outdoors in a unique atmosphere and enjoy a relaxing swim in the Serpentine. Or pull up a deckchair and sunbath while children play gleefully in the background. It’s all right here in the middle of London.

6 – Hampstead Heath Bathing Ponds

The Hampstead swimming ponds are one of the cities calmest, most pleasant spaces. Though swimming in these ponds may not be everybodys cup of tea they have lovely sunbathing areas too. The water can be chilly, but perfect on a summers day. An escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Tell us if you visited one of these quirky places and what did you think of it! With FG Properties we can find you an amazing apartment near those places for you to have a great trip to London!

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for rookie blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
